Qualifications:

High school graduation with one or more years of college is required. Applicant may also be a full or part time college student.  Prior military service or work experience in retail sales, food service or marketing will be given preference. The qualified applicant will have an outgoing personality, enjoy working with the public and will be able to hire, train, motivate and inspire subordinates.  Applicant should be detail oriented, have a demonstrated aptitude for basic math and be proficient in the use of common Windows based computer programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.  The applicant must be self-confident and able to demonstrate that he or she can function effectively in a fast paced work environment. The ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form at all social levels is required. The selected applicant must be available to work both day and night shifts, weekends and holidays and be physically able to remain on his or her feet for extended periods of time.   Applicants being considered for hiring will be subject to a background check including verification of prior employment, a public record review and drug testing.

Duties:

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the theatre operation in the absence of the General Manager. This will include opening & closing the theatre, supervising staff personnel, controlling inventory, assisting the staff in cleaning the theatre in between shows and at other times, securing cash and daily revenues, placing newspaper and internet advertising and performing other duties as may be prescribed by the General Manager. The Assistant Manager will be trained in the operation of the digital projection system including operation of the library management server and will regularly perform such duties as  ingesting content from the satellite,  mapping titles and scheduling shows.  The Assistant Manager may also be called upon to perform minor maintenance of the property such as light bulb replacement, broken seat repair, touch up painting and similar repairs as directed by the General Manager. The Assistant Manager will act as a good will ambassador for the theatre by ensuring that customers receive proper service and attention at all times. He or she may prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the General Manager, may schedule staff members as to days and hours worked, may complete and submit bi-weekly payroll information and assist in maintaining an efficient and organized office system. In the absence of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for all concession merchandise in the theatre and will ensure that adequate controls are in place at all times.  He or she will also supervise box office ticketing operations so as to ensure that admissions are properly recorded and all theatre entrance policies are enforced.

Salary Range & Benefits:  

The salary range is between $12.00 and $15.00 per hour with beginning rate determined by prior experience. Hours worked can vary between 30 and 40 per week depending upon time of year and business conditions but can be adjusted to the needs of the applicant. A group health insurance plan is not offered at this time. The Company does maintain an accident and injury policy in the event an employee is injured on the job.  1 week of paid vacation is offered after completion of the first year of employment.  A second week of paid vacation is offered after completing the 2nd year of employment.
