Magdalene Mission

PEACE.  “If only I could find some peace . . .”  Sound familiar? Our hearts long to find peace, but where is it? Is it in parties or gifts? Is it in the Christmas spirit of giving and being kind to others? These are nice, but true peace only comes from knowing Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

This brings us to WHY WE CAME TONIGHT.  Simple, we want to share The Gift, the Prince of Peace – Jesus Christ!  Our past brings us here today as much as our present. What is it that’s in our past that helps us understand the hard places in life?

Some of our team members have experienced the following:

  • Several are ex-dancers
  • Abandoned as a young child and left to raise herself (and her brother) on the streets
  • Sexually and emotionally abused by male family members
  • Rape
  • The party girl, who abused drugs and moved from relationship to relationship
  • IV drug user

Our past no longer defines us. You never would have guessed, right?  Besides that, we’re here because it’s Christmas!  We hope you enjoy your gift bag, too.

What was the plan? Why was He born? He was born to die for the sins of the world. You see, in the Old Testament lambs were sacrificed by the priests to forgive the people of their sins. The Bible says that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin (Leviticus 17:11).

God loves us so much the He wants to have a personal relationship with us.  He sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross as the blood sacrifice, once and for all. Personally accepting the GIFT of His birth, death and resurrection is the only way to have peace with God and experience joy and freedom in our hearts.

Our prayer is that not another Christmas goes by that you do not come to personally know this baby in a manger and receive His life changing power.

We hope you have a very Merry CHRISTmas.
